Our business revolves around the ag industry and is strongly driven by our dairy nutrition feed services. We are proud to hold distinct recognition as a Dairy Centre of Excellence through Shur Gain Trouw Nutrition.
In addition to bulk livestock feed delivery, we supply bag feed products and animal health necessities for small and large operations alike. Our retail store is home to a diverse range of supplies including cereals, pet food, bird seed, hardware, pool supplies, workwear, trees, gardening and landscaping supplies. We are also a Quality Seeds, Pride Seeds and CR Plastics Furniture dealer.

A family- run business since 1975.
Established in 1975, The Hitching Post began as a family-operated feed supply store after the closing of the Great Star Flour Mill in January of that year. We continue to operate as a feed supply retail outlet as one of the largest non-manufacturing Shur Gain dealerships in Ontario. To this day we carry locally milled Arva Flour supplies to maintain the tradition of the original mill in our town. The Ross family have been operating as owners since January 2019 and along with their staff, take pride in serving the community they live in.
